We are conducting a study to learn more about how HIV and AIDS impact Aboriginal families who are affected and what this means in terms of providing appropriate supports and services. We also want to identify important features and provide Aboriginal-specific recommended solutions toward the development of programmatic intervention models that address and support all members of a family affected by HIV. We want to learn about this so we can work with Aboriginal communities in Canada to identify and develop culturally informed and appropriate family-based models of care for Aboriginal families affected by HIV and AIDS.
