Musqueam Office’s New Team Member

Amy Mawdsley

This fall, I am fortunate to begin working with CAAN at the Musqueam office. I’m looking forward to working with and learning from the CAAN community. I am especially interested in CAAN because of learning about Visioning Health and how that project was a successful model for research based in ceremony, culture and community. I also am interested in CAAN’s use of the Social Determinants of Health, which take into account aspects such as gender, language, culture, historic trauma, and environmental health, which are fundamental for Indigenous Peoples’ health.

I’ll be working on various projects including the Aboriginal AIDS Awareness Week, communication, and program evaluation and reporting. I look forward to connecting with you. Feel free to get in touch! You can contact me at amym@caan.ca or (604) 266-7616.
